Ordeal Candidate Equipment List
The Ordeal starts Friday night and will conclude Sunday morning. Candidates must be in attendance for the entire duration of the Ordeal weekend. If you are making arrangements to be picked up Sunday morning, your ride may pick you up at the Sand parking lot/Trading Post area after 9:00 AM.
Below is a list of equipment that you will need to bring to Ordeal. You will find a list for Check-in, Friday Night, and Saturday Afternoon.
Friday Night and Saturday Afternoon Equipment should be packed separately for ease.
At Check-in,
If you have dietary issues please contact us a few days before the fellowship so that we may be able to accommodate them.
Please remember to stop for food as you head to camp. Dinner will not be served Friday evening.
You will need the following items,
Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Form WITH A COPY of their insurance card to the event. (Form Available at the bottom of the page)
carved NON SHARP wooden arrow (approximately 8" x 3") on a string to be worn suspended from your neck during the Ordeal.
2 non-perishable can goods
On Friday Night,
You should come dressed in an activity uniform or work clothes. along with the below mentioned supplies.
Sleeping bag
Poncho
Ground cloth
Canteen/Nalgene style water bottle
Pocketknife
Work gloves
On Saturday Afternoon,
Your second pack will not be needed until Saturday afternoon and should include
Full Field uniform (Class A)
Tent
Toiletries and other personal items.
You may leave this pack in your vehicle or storage will also be available at the Dining Hall.
